Agreement on 500 new housing units would be signed next month – Minister

Minister of Housing, Transport and Environment has said that agreement on the construction of 500 new housing units would be signed next month, in a press conference held yesterday.

Minister also said that government and the Indian contractor had come to an agreement on main areas.

Minister Aslam also said that many parties are expressing interest to construct 10,000 housing units within the Maldives and apologized for the delay in the project.

He also said that he wish to move forward on the project steadily, but transparently.
